Thought this video was quite interesting, it's basically a marketing video for the SolidWorks CAD program, but has some interesting parts about Patek Philippe watches.

How cool! The software looks like Catia, which is the same software that Daimler Chrysler and Boeing use.

SolidWorks is part of 'A' Level GCE Computing Exams ^^ I took the course of this program. Really cool IMHO. Lots of good features. From 2D cad import to calculating estimated production cost, etc.

Do you think that program is Solidworks? I can't see the top of the screen well enough to tell. Although, both Catia and Solidworks are products of Dassault Systems.

SolidWorks is a program from SolidWorks Corp. Never heard about Catia though... But default background colour for solidworks is blue. But I can see that the menu is pretty much like SolidWorks toolbox.

What is your major, Tak? Is it engineering?

Yapz. Doesn't use CAD tools a lot though. I am minoring on Geographical Information System too... Use ArcGIS, GPS and such fancy tools intensively.

Ah I see... it's same company.

I work in manufacturing, mostly sheet metal stamping applications, so I can’t get away from CAD programs. My company has the whole spectrum of software: UG, Catia, Pro/E, AutoCAD, CadKey, and a handful of others.

Interesting! I work in manufacturing, too- don't mess about with CAD systems much myself, I do automation/instrumentation/data acquisition stuff. LabView and the like, production test systems for hydraulics.

You have a Facility in Kansas, right. You guys have a new buyer at that facility that used to work for Hayes-Lemmerz. We just started getting quotes from your company.

Pateck Philippe, like Swatch and another brands use only SolidWorks for design, not Catia  ....

Pateck Philipe is a "case study" with special images and videos from SolidWorks

Videos an photorealistic images are made with PhotoWorks and Animator (addings of SolidWorks)
