Stupid thing I did on eBay..

So there I was......

My tabbed firefox browser up with a bunch of tabs in it.... I'm on ebay... watching football .. I've got ebay tickets up.. put a bid on a set with 2 minutes left when my wife yells up to me to come up stairs. I get up there... help her ... and come back down stairs..

I pickup my laptop get back to ebay..refresh the page only to see that my bid is not there... I'm like... WTF ???

I throw my bid in there again... submit it.. win it... about 5 minutes later I look at my tabs and see that I have 2 ebay tabs up... (oh shit) :shock:

Immediately I start thinking... "You dumb ass... tell me you didnt do what I thought you did"...
So I click on the other ebay tab.. see my bid.. refresh... and realize that I purchased both sets of tickets...

What a dumb ass! :x

Well on the up side, you could explain to the seller. If he's a dick about it, you could just not pay for one set..... I mean it's like he can leave you negative feed back anymore. eBay sucks...

I use auctionsentry, and its the best $15 I have ever spent.
Decide on your max bid, set it, and go to work.
Come home, and see what goodies have unfolded.
Takes all the emotion out of it, and if used well can also give you leads on what the dealers are bidding. (Will explain this by PM if you are interested)

It's old school by now, but I've enjoyed good success over the past 3-4 years with esnipe.com
I think most people who use the bay these days are sniping. Set it to submit 3 - 5 seconds prior to auction end and let nature take it's course. Cost is minimal.
