Ok guys Ive been asked to do this by a member, so I figure Id give it a shot. Im no expert reviewer so hopefully the pics will do the talking. Big thanks to Dan (P4GTR) for taking the pics for me. Im not even going to say which is which.

The point is, If I could do it over I wouldnt own the GEN, the rep is that good. I forgot to take a movmnt. and lume shot but the rep houses a sw200 with typical rep lume. Not that I would ever do it as we all know the number one rule, but if I ever had to wear a rep into an AD I'd wear this one in complete confidence. Now on to the pics!!!

Although the rep is amazing, I think I know which is which... differences I spot are as follows (in no particular order):
    - bezel triangle
    - crown size
    - AR is very different
    - B logo
    - date window
    - bezel sticks

    Did I miss anything? Probably.

That's exactly what I wrote in one of the wristies thread on RG....The SOH V2 feels like a gen.....Even to the people who I confess that I wear reps, I've told them it's a gen and they believe me....

Great thread.....thanks. This is the one watch I've reserved a space in my box for.

So damned hard to find a V2 though.

Most flaws can only be spotted side by side.the only thing that really is different is the crown size and the swiss made. I only figured out the swiss made part last night after 3 weeks because I never stare at them both together.

however!!!! no swiss made on a gen.

Holding these both in my hands, taking the pics, and looking at the HUGE pics before being resized.. I still find it hard to tell the difference.

I don't see the need to swap crystals.. It looks pretty much identical in hand.

I wasn't even a fan of the mesh strap until I say that pic.
They really need to make this watch again.

You might have a super duper slight chance to score a blue one still. Try contacting Mary from watch international. I know I took the last black but the blue I heard may be around.

Im a total noob at Breitling and SOH is probably the only contemporary model i like but the most obvious tell for me is the swiss made on the dial or lack there of..

other than that its not easy to tell witch is rep/gen for me even if there are slight unsimilarities i couldnt say witch is correct.. other than swiss 30 made that is..

(i know this is old thread i just wnated to state it before i read to see if im correct)

There are gen SOHs with and without the Swiss made on the dial. It depends of when they are made.

It seems strange to me that they would intentionally leave 'swss made' off the dial.

Loving my gen all day long but I'm impressed with the rep in the pics....another member just sold one mounted on a gen mesh and damn it looked close.

Any difference in the way the movement feels when setting time/date as well as winding?

I'm also very interested to know how good the blue is.
I'm sure I'd be very happy with the black but, ideally, I'd like the blue if the colour is close to gen.

    Any views?

Although the blue might look nice, you would get more wear out of a black dial. The blue would be somewhat limited to what you wear for the day. Everything on the rep was perfect even when setting the date/time the crown did not have that rep wobbly feel. It was nice and stiff like my gen.

V2's are the best, they are not being made.
