i've got a 195 and a 113 from 2 different dealers . the thread part of the screws on the 195 are smaller dia than the screws on the 113. they won't interchange and on both watches they stripped the first time i changed the straps. the 195 did it first along with the buckle. when i tried the 113 i took them out and put some machine oil on them to help with friction and they still did it.
now with that said i am a automobile and a aircraft mechanic and i am used to used to takeing delicate things apart and putting them back together again.
1. why are these screws different sizes?
2. why are the threads so soft?
it seems to me the screws are bad steel or the cases on both of these watches have bad threads. but 2 watches from 2 different sources? seems unlikely to me the case threads are bad on both watches from the very beginning.
any ideas? is this common??
any ideas?????
i have some spring bars ordered from river but are they going to work on both watches since they have different size screws?
