Santos bracelet adjustment advice

Hi everyone, I'd really appreciate your assistance.

I'm having trouble working out how the bracelet for the ladies quartz Santos is put together.

I need to remove some links and after seeing the flat screw heads, assumed I would need a very small jewellers screwdriver to do this.

I purchased a 0.8mm flat head screw driver - but am having no luck getting any purchase on the screws.

So my question - are these actually screws, or just decorative ends to pins which can be hammered out?

The other side of the screw looks just like a standard link pin - but I'm scared to go at it with the hammer before I take your advice.

I've managed to answer the question myself.

For the benefit of the community, they're not screws - they're split pins :facepalm:.

A pin pusher and hammer from directed at the 'screw head-looking' side will get these out easily.
