sandwich dials?

are they more desireable, closer to gens, better lume material or it does not matter?

the new model GEN panerai (111H 177H 176H 112H etc) have the sandwich dial and not the painted (sausage) dials usually distinguished by an "H". most reps dont have the greatest lume until they are modded. i think it is a matter of who is buying the watch as to how desirable they are. some love the painted on numbers and some love the sandwich. i have a sandwich 177H and think it looks better then the painted on.....totally up to you

Sandwich also easier to lume..

much more so..

I am going to take a 111H in to my local so cal watchsmith,
he says 'way below $100' which seems to be the going
rate for modders like zig rbj etc..

that is what he is going to charge for the super lume...
