Advice on Crown mod for 1665 DRSD Cartel version

I've recently was fortunate enough to be surfing RWI 10 mins after Cwazy1 posted one of his beautiful 1665 DRSDs for sale. Suffice to say I got hold of that baby!

While pics are coming soon, can I seek advice on the crown guard mod for this watch. Cwazy1 stated it's a cartel watch with ETA2846 but I'm not sure whether gen 703 crown/tube can fit without mods. I searched the forums but the common base 1665 that seems to take gen crown without modding is the puretime version.

Can anyone please advice me?

Or is it for pure tume version, I only need to change the crown, but for cartel version, I need to change both the crown and the tube?

I've read thorugh Bonesy's sticky on vintage watches but am still unclear. Any help is appreciated.

Cartel requires tube and crown. PT takes gen crown on existing tube.
