nope
historically, none of the rep factories have released that and neither did they release a 17000/17013/17014
unfortunately, it's time to save up for gen :atwitsend:
if rep factories released that, then I would buy every colour of it as I am a massive Oysterquartz fan

Never was! Its too bad because the oysterquartz is a stunning watch :(

But they arent too expensive if you buy a genuine.

Although the Oysterquartz is 36mm, it feels very big and heavy on the wrist because of the case shape and the wide bracelet design - it feels as hefty as my Submariner

I still haven't seen another person in the streets that is also wearing an Oysterquartz, compared to the many many times that I have predominantly seen people wearing the Submariner and GMT Master

it is quite unique and very well balanced in proportions, but perfection I find is the 19019 day date in white gold is just perfect

19019 is one of my dream rolex and I was strongly considering a 17014 with black dial few months ago

but I am put off from servicing the Oysterquartz - Hong Kong's Rolex Service Centre charges at least $1000 USD to service it nowadays. If the circuit board or motor screws up, then you are screwed

I wish they would rep one, as well. I made an homage a few years ago but it was an extremely labor intensive project and I doubt I'll ever get that bored again!

I do have a gen dial, just in case! ;)

I read that old thread and I am a fan of your AP / Tudor / Oysterquartz franken (https://rwg.cc/topic/185522-rolex-oysterquartz-rep-or-franken/)
Your quality and level of machining with a lathe is unbelievably accurate and soooo good. It looks so good that it mimics an in-house Tudor prototype

pomp - Thank you, it was a chore and I may do another one at some point in time but as I said doing this on all manual machines is extremely labor intensive. That said, I have a chunk of 316 cut out with a hole bored through it, a gen Roman Oysterquartz dial, and a Miyota quartz movement in the drawer...

I had a DJ dial in this for a while and decided that since I couldn't make a credible chapter ring I'd turn it into a fantasy Tudor. Rolex did make a DJ in this case for a short time according to literature I have.

turning a manual lathe with a lot of milling and filing must have been very labour intensive
but an oysterquartz rep would surely be the coolest rep rolex - better than any phong or superfranken builds because the case had to be manually created from scratch!
and then there is the bracelet - creating the oysterquartz bracelet will take some time as well

the Datejust 1630 and 1530 were the mechanical forerunners to the Oysterquartz 17013 an 17000 case, but it looks very difficult to make that ring around the dial if you were to pursue a 1530 build

Always wonder if the case can fit a 1570 movement. Is there's a lot of difference between a 1530 and a 17000 case ?
