Hello guys,

I really want to buy the Rolex GMT-Master II BLNR with the Jubilee bracelet if possible but I am not sure which one would be the best choice and I hope you guys could give me some advise

I have seen the VRF version that was just released but on the forum there is a discussion about the bezel that is totally not on point and an would be an instant give away..
In the discussion on the forum there was also a link to ts-stations and they have one from GM Factory that was also just released, and Noob made a new version if I am correct what do you think about that one? and is there also another version which you would advise that is closer to 1:1?

I know it stays a REP but I would like to buy the closest to being perfect.

So I hope you guys would like to help me which one to buy best.

Kind regards from Holland!

If I were you I would get the gmf v3 with chs. If the movment fails swap in a vr3185.
If I would not have a gen ln bezel and chrystal waiting here to be installed to a vr or arf that would be my next watch to order.

Noob is a 2824 CHS timebomb, way overpriced and the insert sucks. Stay away.

Either buy a GMF SA3186 and plan on swapping in a VR3185 if necessary

Or buy a VRF and plan on replacing the insert

KJ,
I'm in the very same boat... Which choice do you think would be easier / cheaper for a watchmaker to do? Spoke today with Domi the watchsmith but there was not yet talk about the price of his work. Isn't there a risk of breaking the insert even for a watchsmith with proper tools?

Another thought... Wouldn't it be easier to swap the insert+bezel combo from GMF to VRF instead of the insert only? Or is it just the way it usually is done? Many questions, sorry :p

Just an warning example how bad a GMF v3 Batman movement can be right out off the box. A hour hand is way off as well as the GMT hand shows whatever it wants plus the dates change randomly from 8->10 and so on....

All the rep BLNRs OOTB has issues, not a single one is worth it. Start with the a model that has an excellent foundation (the movement) and build from there. If you are not really planning to franken, get the VRF version (for the excellent movement) and buy an aftermarket insert from any of the following.
NoleexprawnboySpongebob

If you are going to franken and go all the way, start with a Noob v10 case or maybe even an ARF case and build from there. Whatever you do, my suggestion is to go with the VR3185 movement.

Note: There is a bunch of favorable feedback on the GMF insert but I don’t think the quality is on par to my liking. The folks mentioned above can do better (In fact Noleex or spongebob can do the platinum paint mod as well).

I’ve just seen this (currently unpriced) on the Puretime Website listed under new arrivals - looks promising?

This is not good news. I may have to cancel mine and just stick with VRF and do the bezel swap

I'm currently waiting for the VRF Batman to arrive and am assuming it actually has a VR3185 inside. I also purchased an modded insert for it from Noleex.

Interesting to see how is the new K9 factory's Batman.... at least thePuretime images look quite nice.

İ dont understand. İf GMF , VRF , ARF & others is Have small differrents. Then why Noob’s GMT İs model expensive 150-200$. We pay this difference for 3285 movement ?

Noob Batgirl is ridiculously overpriced, no idea why. The Pepsi which came out first is overpriced also but the insert can justify the price to some levels (first ground breaking bi-color ceramic rep insert). There in nothing unique in the Batgirl to justify such price gouging.

I would go with VRF as base (for the awesome movement and decent dial) and retrofit with aftermarket insert (or source a GMF if you can) and add other gen parts to your liking.

Noob BLNR 3285 CHS

the 904l steel can not be beaten on noob watches it just feels so premium for me a watch has to feel like a watch on the wrist not a toy, im not that much bothered about the movement going wrong as it can be replaced or fixed your cant replace quality once you buy something your stuck with the quality you have purchased the movement can be changed so can the cyclops or the other little annoying parts but the biggest part to the watch in my opinion is when i open the box when i received it i say to myself wow it got weight to it its so cold its good steel the bracelet is so smooth the bezel moves so smooth it feels solid.

thats my opinion i guess weight and feel is everything cause when your mates say thats a beautiful watch us see your gonna say here check it out and not be scared that they are going to laugh at your flimsy watch that feels like it was made in turkey for £50
