No, you need to remove the caseback to be able to access the springbars, since that's the way the strap is secured on this piece. The strap securing isn't like it is on the gen fit with the screws and inserts but it's secured with a springbar.

Ok so I need a 5 prong screw driver too. Thanks for the info Q!

Received my cheap velcro strap with springbar insert from taobao. Bought the 5prong screwdrivers with both the size of 2.35mm and 2.75mm. Unfortunately, the screwdrivers do not match with the caseback screws, I'm unable to unscrew them.

I tried it on my zf rm35, and they work fine. I guess the rm001 and rm035 use a different dimension/size for their case screws? Any gentleman will point me to the right direction to buy the right screwdrivers?

As for the strap, I think it's in the right size and thickness to fit the watch by the looks of it. I'm not sure till I get to remove the caseback.

As far as I know, these RM001 reps have a different style of attaching the strap to the case. Instead of being connected by the screws, they use a different spring bar system.

Yes, I have a strap with spring bar insert, I need to open the caseback in order to change the strap. But my screwdriver doesn't fit well

Thanks !

I'm not sure how strong the connection is tbh. The springbars jb used are pretty slim and fragile to begin with.
The one thing that concerns me the most is the fact that the kvf pastic part is narrower than the Jb one so this leaves the sprigbar more exposed if you will .

What i mean by that, is that the more overhang there is , the more chances are for the springbar to bend under pressure and slip out of it's holes .

So either i find longer screws and mount the strap as it was supposed to be or fill in the gaps to make sure the springbar doesnt bend.

As for the epoxy, i'm pretty sure it's strong enaugh to keep the strap in place with normal wear.

Sorry to bring this up, I was thinking of removing the rubber strap and sending it off to my strap maker to copy the pattern/sizing and use the end links of the strap to make a bespoke leather strap? Could this solution work you think?
