Receive some CGs form Toro in RG , and share the pics for you guys who is thinking get a good CG to replace the standard rep CG .
You can see the pics , lsft one is standard 111H rep CG (after mod) , Toro's in the middle , LH on the right side .

Both Toro & LH are flated the pins , but Toro didn't poloshed it , so I still need to do a little mod . And LH is thicker than Toro , and LH is better in the details .
DSCN4910.jpg

You can see the spaces between the lever and CH , LH seems like better finish than Toro .
DSCN4911.jpg

And both of them are much better than standard rep CG for H-series model , that's for sure .

The LH CG is destro model , so I will build a destro PAM very soon .
DSCN4913.jpg

I have ordered poliched CG for my PAM104 ultimate in the future , just fit it on my 111E to check the result .
DSCN4914.jpg

Finally , the shape is correct !
DSCN4915.jpg

Just for the fat , thick shape .

And the Toro CG on my 111H .

So, I think Toro offer good CGs for the rep models , especially in that reasonable price . If you still feel LH CG is too expensive , Toro might be a good choice . But if you really want a beautiful CG no matter the price , LH must be the best !

Hope these can help you build a good 111 .

Very nice review. For the money the Toro is a great upgrade. On thing I wish he would have fixed was the part of the lever that touches the crown. I wished it was longer like the LH

This is my rep CG, wich i think is a lot better than you rep CG.
The pin need work and the lever has a little wiggle, but the finish and the lever space is better...

If you're a PAMaholic, only a LH CG will do.
Yes , so that I said LH CG is the best choice .
But depends on that price , not everyone will spend the price as a whole watch for a CG .
I'm already satisfied with the Toro's , and most of my customers will accept the Toro's .
Thanks .

Don't forget to take into account the series, when deciding what CG to put onto your PAM. For example, the LH is completely wrong for that 111E (I know, you just wanted to see how it looked), in fact that rep CG is more accurate for it.

LH, TB, and SN CGs are best suited for H+ series (some G) and Pre-V PAMs.

Well, if you polished the LH CG (except for the lever, obviously), it would work for a 111E. I had a gen PAM114E and it had the current "Historic" CG shape/size, it was just polished instead of brushed.

Was that a new 114E direct from the AD, or a 114E bought second/third/etc hand, which may at one point have had its CG replaced by a Panerai AD during or after 2004?

It was 2nd-hand, but purchased from the original owner and verified that it had never been in for service or repair.

There is other discussion of this on 'Risti and other forums. Seems there was in intermittent transition to the new shape prior to going to the new shape, brushed CGs of the current Historic line.

Ah, so it was just another Panerai 'inconsistency', and not the norm :D

Inconsistency *IS* the only consistency when it comes to Panerai! Yeah, I haven't been able to verify that all of the E series watches had the thicker, curved CGs.
