Is this an ETA movement? I'm told it is...

I got a pre-owned rep recently that's supposed to have a Swiss ETA in it. I don't see the ETA markings anywhere, and I thought all the ETA movements in Rolex reps were 25J, not 21J. Any help on identifying this movement, or at least figuring out if it's an ETA? I'm pretty sure its running at 21.6k vph.

Any help is much appreciated... Thank you!!

Thanks for the heads up Dizzy... Just looking out for 'us'... ;)
Man I'd have to mental hospitalize myself if this forum goes down....

Here, check this out, its an ETA 2846.
There are quite a few watches that come with it, namely Zeno, Tudor, Invicta... etc etc, that I came across on our friend Google.

A few links to explore:

Hope that helps, else I have nothing better to do and there is no better way to fight insomnia then to search for movements on google! ;) ;)

Just took a look at the link you posted. Interesting. Seems to match up. Wonder if we are going to be seeing different ETA's as 2824's and 2836's become harder to find?

I think the ETA 2675 and 2670 are 28,800 vph movements.. and they have differently shaped rotors than the one I have, and they have long regulator arms whereas the movement I have has a screw to turn (with + and - symbols nearby) for regulating.

Eta 2670.....or Eta 2675.....or Eta ........ ETA 2846

now....what is it ?

hahaha... HU, I am wondering this myself. I was content as far as ETA 2836 and alike went.

SwissAddict, the movement you have there seems to be the ETA 2846.

Well, the 2846 says "2846" on it.. and the one I have does not.. so that's something that makes me think it's not a 2846 :)

as i said, base plate might be asian ....or hybrid.....also your shock absorber is regular Incabloc, all swiss movements i have seen ( 2846 ) were Novodiac.

but gears look gen, you will be fine !
