It's actually quite weird that the Chinese have never attempted to do the vintage Rolex. Properly, I mean.

There have been several attempts, but they're more or less half-assed. The problem (imho) with vintage Sub reps is trying to make a brand new watch look like 40 years old. Palp did some amazing dial mods. Too bad he's pretty much gone now.

I sold mine, because the 1680 never worked for me. While I think it's a great looking watch, and has more character than 16610. Still, it just felt weird on the wrist. I guess the huge bulged plastic crystal wasn't my thing after all.

i think those are things that make it unique, every one and their mom has a modern sub, thats why i started with a gmt instead, its more useful too
i just need to get the correct bezel insert , mine is from josh a few yrs ago, that has the numbers a touch too big
