of ownership. The watch came with a genuine Swiss manufactured ETA/Unitas movement. Knock on wood, it has performed perfectly. Accurate and as durable as any genuine Richemont version for only $4000 less, LOLOL!! As far as I'm concerned, it's a Panny... :) Only item I added was the classic tan strap from Don Ginsler...

I have an almost 4 year old PAM 005 and it has the Asian 6497 in it. Still runs like a charm. I did have to tighten down a couple of the screws on it, but after that simple mod, no more problems. Knowing how well these reps have lasted, there is NO way I would pay the money for a gen Panerai. These look just as good and IME perform just as well.

I agree with you. I bought a gen. Panny when they first came out. It was the full size white dial Luminor Marina. The watch cost me over $3000 from a NYC AD. My rep. is every bit as good as the gen. at $240 dollars... :)
