Rep Panerai reliability - water proof

Hello to everyone,
I am new member to this forum but i visited a lot in a past.
I am looking for a Panerai along time now and i am wonder about the waterproof reliability of REP's in this area.
If a member wants to share his experience would be very helpful to my purchase.

I have my own waterproof testing , so I can always make sure my PAMs are good in waterproof .
My PAM087 ever dived into the sea over 40m with my wife , and it's well now .
I think they're good !

But you still need some one to do the testing .

I saw that the Puretime dealer offer waterproof testing for about 20USD.
Is that worthing?.Any member had already try this service?.
Also there is any dealer that make my Rep waterproof as after sales service?

Nope, I don't trust any dealer water proofing as the flight in an unheated and un pressurised aircraft hold can screw with the water proofing of any watch, rep or gen. Always have it tested in your own country, any mall watch booth should be able to test it for you.

Just make sure you see it done....don't trust any "battery fitter" to have actually tested it without having seen for yourself!

I think that the best way is to trust a local shop for waterproof testing.

My 203/a was waterproof for awhile..... now I'm getting a new movement.
Even my gen Glycine isn't waterproof anymore, seals, crown, case-back, it could be anything.
Reps are not without their headaches.
