I just took my 201a out of the packaging now that it has come back from being lumed by Ziggy.

The FGD Dial sits on a genuine Swiss ETA 6497 movement with beautifully engraved bridges. One of the best movements I've ever seen.

These are housed in a DSN Case that I purchased for this project.

Please notice the case back. My caseback is from an old 201a from years ago.
They dont make them like this anymore. Mine is far more accurate than the DSN which I have sitting next to it. The overall quality is night and day, mine is thicker and feels like it is 10 times the quality.

Ziggy did a fantastic job on the lume capturing that aged tritium look.

Notice the lug screws, screwed from each side. ;)

The strap is my pull up strap from Tootall, my favorite strap ever.

The dark side its strong on you!!

Dont be mean to us... what a great piece, a beautiful lume color, a match with the strap.

Congrats, enjoy it. wear it well.

WOW, that is incredible...

I do have a question. What is the method by which it is screwed from both sides? Is there a threaded tube that is inserted inside the strap, and the a screw from each side into it?
And is the gen of this model that way? I am quite admiteddly a Pam noob, but I have never seen a Panerai with this.
WOW.....

Yes, CBR, the screws are two-piece, the long side has threads in one end, the other is a "normal" screw that is screwed into it. Pre-V Panerai watches did, indeed, use this method for securing the straps.

Wonderful watch, D4M! Enjoy the heck out of that one...

The "O" on "LUMINOR" has a minor flaw hasn't?

You do need a t48 crown from Tourby, though. :p

Yep, I'll do that next. I simply forgot about it otherwise I would have picked one up and included it when I sent it to Ziggy.

Is there an issue with DSN's CG and the T48?

You would not be impressed, don't forget that this has a tritium look with the half life already in the past leaving a faint glow, not a torch like brand new lume.

All by design.

Shouldn't be any issues, nope.

That's a lovely watch man... They key to the built is the dial, which is also the hardest part to get.

You're almost there. Just need a T48 crown from Tourby and a correct Pre-V CG from Snembo. Once you have those two parts installed, pm me so that I can take it off your hands :)
