Price Difference Between Noob and Other Factories

I've noticed that the Noob variants of the 116610 LN tend to be $100 or more USD less than the same model from other factories. From what I've gathered Noob is a very good manufacturer, so are the others, so why the difference in price?

I'm a buy once cry once typer of buyer, so if I end up spending a little more than planned for a product but said product meets or exceeds all my requirements I'm not going to cry about it. But on the other side of that coin I want to spend the least amount of money to get the desired outcome. Pretty sure we're all that way or this forum wouldn't exist lol.

Noob is down, if you are still listed with the TD, then it is because the TD rarely update their websites. In the m2m area, noob models still appear from time to time. I would also recommend that you read up on the newbie area, as it There is a lot of information on almost all topics. Greetings

I’ll add that noob GMT Master II and Daytona have also both lost the top stop sometime between 2021 and beginning of 2022

I had a suspicion Noob was down. I thought I had read that somewhere.

I've read just about all the new member threads there are, but unfortunately some of them are dated or have old information.

I recently ordered a Noob 116506 Daytona from a TD because I was excited to see it available. Only after my order did I read about the Noob factory shut down. So, I reached out to Ryan at InTime to ask about the Noob description of the watch considering the factory shutdown and he responded with this:

Please note that Noob is out of business. According to the news on the market, this watch is made by all the same parts which Noob used to source to assemble their watches. That is why it is regarded as a Noob's watch since the watch is made of parts from the same suppliers.

Ryan offered to inquire with the factory about changing the order, but his explanation is good enough for me to keep things as they are. Very appreciative that the TD got back to me and offered to inquire, and I expect I will be happy with the watch as is. Of course I had to use the email exchange to ask Ryan about his available stock inventory - I can't stop myself from trying to get a nice Rolex rep ASAP!

I'm currently working with CTime on a 116610LN and they have been amazing. Hopefully I'll have a nice rep in my hands soon too.

That is good to know - I am staring at a couple subs on the CTime website so your post is helpful and timely for me.

Did you get the 116506? If yes, then any comments on how it was?

Meatball…it’s a classic
Love that one.

But it's only really suitable for on-site consumption.

Delivery or take away is problematic unless you like messy, muddy, red, undefinable mush of bread, meat and tomato sauce.

Right you are toasted to eat in and very enjoyable…takeaway and it’s a sloppy mess:cry:

The Noob was pretty nice. I tried to improve it, but if I had it to do over again I would have left it alone and enjoyed it as is.

Love your spirit though. It's the spirit of this particular hobby: Improve, modify, perfect it!

Although I will admit that I'm not (yet) a fan of modding or even just improving little details, although down the line, it's something every rep fan who's in for the long run will at least cross paths with at some point in time to figure out if it's "their thing" or not.

For now, I just enjoy reps purely OOTB and in that case, it simply makes more sense to go with what are currently considered the "top choices" for a particular watch model, instead of getting an outdated rep of a possibly even defunct factory that will eventually require some amount of work to update it to "current standards".

Like I said, it just makes a lot more sense to go with the "it-factory" of the moment if you don't want to change anything...
