Hi,

Please help me decide between these two beautiful Cartier Santos.

1. Santos 100 Men SS/Blk/RU White Asian 2836

$228

2. Santos 100 Men SS/Blk/RU White Nickel Plated Asian Eta 2824

$348

The thing that confuses me the most, is the price difference of $120.
From what I learned, 2836 and 2824 actual price difference is only $10.
And they are very comparable, and on the same grade of movement.

Seller (Josh perfect clones) stated that Asian 2824 version is,
- Made with genuine watch
- Correct cabochon crown ruby
- All correct internal and external markings
- Etc

HOWEVER, since 2836 version is posted after 2824 version, question is, (since they are a china based seller (you know what I meant)),
1. Does the 2836 version really not having the correct cabochon crown ruby ??
2. Does the 2836 version really not having the correct internal and external markings ??
3. Are there any real differences in quality of cases, dials, hands, etc of between these two models ??

Please Please, some cartier experts out there help me make the most correct decision.
For me, price is not a concern. I wanted the best rep and closest to gen out there.
BUT, if paying an extra $120 for only an upgrade from 2836 to 2824. No, Sorry I won't do it.

opinions please... thank you :)

Uhh... its not a 2836 or 2824 that makes the price so different.. its that the second one is a SWISS movement and the first one is an asian clone.

I'd get the cheaper asian clone. 28xx movements are shit shows when it comes to whether or not its genuine swiss movement when you pay for it from a TD

NO. The second one is offered standard as swiss movt, but you are given choice box to choose "nickel plated asian 2824" for less $70. (for $348)

So BOTH are asian.

Anyone knows what should be the correct colour for the ruby @ Crown?
Is it black, or light blue, dark blue?
Some seller with supposedly "newer version" and "correct cabochon ruby" sell it with black colour.

Some seller in light blue colour. A few sells in dark blue...

Any thoughts?
