I am trying to post as large and detailed photos as can be seen by most people. Following are 3 pairs of photos. The first photo of each pair is approximately 640 x 480. The second photo in each pair is approximatelyl 1024 x 768. Here are my questons:

Do they both seem sharp on your monitor?

Can you see the details better in the larger photograph? (look at the wave pattern in the dial)

Does the larger photo spill off the side of your monitor or can you see it all?

Thank you for participating and responding. I am trying to determine the largest and sharpest photographs I can post for RWI members. For me the smaller photo covers about one third of my monitor, wasting about 2/3 of the available space, while the larger photo takes up just a bit over half of my monitor. I would like to be able to post photos even one size larger (about 1150 x 860) than these (see that size in this post http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/smaller-photographs-50808 which you find titled Smaller Photographs in the Rolex section) if most people can view the slightly larger Rolex post size. Let me know what you see and what you would like to be able to view.

The last works best for me; and I'm on a 14" laptop monitor...

They are both sharp but the larger does show more detail. It also spills over about 50% on my monitor. Half way in between would be perfect, In my opinion.

On Photobucket you can have them automatically re-sized to whatever size you want.

Thanks all.

KBH can you try to set your computer for a higher resolution? The larger images should not be spilling over 50% for you when bronson_jess can see the complete picture on his 14 inch laptop monitor.

You may also consider cropping right to the watch if you want as much resolution as possible.
The more stuff you have in the pic, the smaller the watch becomes when you re-size the image to fit on all screens.
