@chris3007 for that very detailed movement breakdown. Nice to see that it is indeed a new movement, structurally speaking. It is too bad about the GMT function and the rest of the P.9000/1 specific functions not being duplicated but we can take wins like this and move forward. Claims by some dealers that the P.9000 (and by extension this P.9001) movement have been tested for a year does somewhat calm concerns over reliability but claims are exactly that, just claims. We'll see how this movement fares down the road. Hopefully, the more this movement is used, parts or the whole movement are going to be available for repairs.
I am excited on the possibilities being opened by this movement in the near future. PAM312 (now coming out), PAM359 (also coming out), PAM351 and the rest of that family, PAM388, PAM382, PAM507 (again with the correct case, none of that date-change button crap) and the rest of the display caseback P.9000 models potentially should be a cinch for super-rep status, low-level minimum with the new movement installed.
