Wow, Very nice. Is this a rep?

I have noticed that in the Rolex and scam sections there is much direct scrutiny of Rolex wathes (i.e. CG is incorrect, "M's" don't align correctly, swiss mark is too high etc) and I wanted to know why there is not more of that in the Panerai section. I am a Pan nut so I have self interest as my agenda (insert develish laugh). The Rolex section has provided so much info that I think I might actually spot a fake some of the time. Great info.

rep

the dial markers on the outside should point the opposite direction.

Additionally, the rehaut markings for the tachymeter are slightly mis-aligned.

but it is a beautiful watch. I just make looking at reps into an adult game of where's waldo.

there are actually much more flaws to it:

numerals are a little too thick and have no luminousity
the 5 minute indieces are all supposed to have the same length
the crystal is mineral and not sapphire and doesn't have antireflective coating
the finishing of the movement is much finer and different on the gen and has blued screws
the second indicies are supposed to point outward and not inward
the engraving on the crown guard is to thick

the list probably goes much further....still beautiful piece

here is a pic of a gen for comparison:

Beautiful watch, but my main problem is the crown guard lever which is waaay too big. Its diffucult to press on the pusher.

The flyback was my 1st PAM, but sold it for a 111

agreed it should be shorter, which can clearly be seen on the original pictures

It has some problems but overall it's a beautiful watch. I'm seriously considering getting one.

Lovely pics too, looks awesome.

A gorgeous watch indeed. But add to the flaws : subdials too big. Crown (gasp!) thicker than genuine.

good points, I guess I haven't noticed the subdials since the dial has so many other flaws that distracted me
