Hi,

Does anyone know if any of the replica manufacturers intend making a new version, (poss Best Edition) of this watch addressing the minor cosmetic issues of the original release?

It's on my list to acquire but am loathed to do so if a new improved version is to be released.

Many thanks.

No news yet. It is quite a lovely piece, though I wish they just made the 253 better with a sapphire crystal

There are currently two versions out there, one with Seagull-ST19, the other with A7750. I currently have both, and never wear the A7750 version. The auto one has correct case back and working quick-release system, it also has slightly different sub-dial placement of course.

Both still have wrong coloured blue hands, and manual wind is still best in my opinion - just wish the backs could be switched :(

I got this one from Robert at T4D. I don't know how close it is to gen (and I don't want to).
I'm very pleased with it. Just thought you might want to see some pics.

That's the A7750 version, I picked up one as well to see what it was like. I really like the functional quick-release strap system it has, but really hate the date pusher :D I wonder if there is a way to fill it in and make it "disappear"

Date Pusher ? Am I missing something ? The watch doesn't have a date.

Exactly! But you didn't want to hear about the flaws on this version, sorry :)

I actually have never worn mine (date pusher on a watch which doesn't even have a date just killed it for me), as I also have the manual wind one, which I wear a lot.

Agh now I get it. It has a date pusher on the left hand side of the case but no date. Not a problem for me personally but I agree a strange thing to happen.

They used the old Daylight cases for this rep.

Hey Guys,

Does the manual wind versio have the date-pusher button as well as the 7750?

Manual wind does not have date pusher on the side, but the quick-release strap system is fake on the manual wind, unlike the A7750 version. So if you want to change straps, you have to manually push out the pin, as it isn't threaded but is inserted in a "pinched" tube to hold it in.

You can always consider this is an He valve and not a recessed pusher :)

Sure
:biglaugh:
But I hate dummy features, and I'd prefer to explain it this way to anyone than "it's a pusher that makes nothing"
