just put a new TC Toscana black cordovan on the ol' ONE EIGHT SEVEN.

the 47mms seem the right size for me now. damn its hard to go backward. my IWC Aquatimer looks like a ladies watch on me now!!!!

Hi Base, I have a 187 (just got it) and I like it save for a few things. I have asked on the board some questions but I have yet to get any real answers. Were did you get yours? Is it water proof and tested by you? My turning bezel is a little loose, is yours the same?
Does the 187 use strap tubes just like the 111? The 187 I got did not have tubes like I think it should. Do many of the reps come without tubes? Thanks.

hey fellow Dallasite!!! im about 30 miles due west of ya in Funkytown.

i got my 187 from River. it had NO tubes in the strap ends. its supposed to on the genuine but i think all the reps came without them. just pick up a pair from Elliot at TC for $9 and youre done.

mine is somewhat waterproof. ive not tested it, but when i got it, I relubed the caseback gaskets and crown gaskets with silicone ultra lube grease. ive washed in numerous times in the sink with soap and water and never had a fog yet.

the bezel on mine isnt "loose" per se, but its not tight either. just kinda "clanks" when turning it. kinda noisy really. but doesnt bother me. my bro has a genuine Chronomat Evo Breitling and its noisy as hell when you turn the bezel. been like that since it was new with the $4600 price tag on it. go figure.

all in all these are replicas. they are not genuine. but for a $9200 savings, i think i will keep this one. :wink:

I bought my 187 from EddieLee. The bezel is as good as the bezels on most of my gen dive watches. The finish work on the case is very good and it is keeping excellent time. The Chronos work flawlessly and reset to 12 without any problems. Incredibly impressive watch!!
