Pam 190 Radiomir 8 days

Does anyone have experience with rep's of this one? I haven't been able to find one that has sapphire and decent swiss movement.

Also, do you worry with the radiomirs if they have mechanical wind movement along with the screw down crown that things will wear out?

Would love to find a swiss auto version with sapphire. Anyone else interested? Anyone have suggestions on who might be selling?

Well, since your begging now.

The 8 day movement has not been replicated yet, so finding a Swiss or any other version is kinda hard. For the auto version with the solid case back, there are a few out there, but none in Swiss because of the seconds running at 9. There are not any Swiss auto movements that will currently allow for this except the Swiss 7750 or 7753 and those are a little too thick for a radiomir if I remember correctly. Besides, they would be way over priced.

The Asian 21j is a pretty good movement as is the new version of the Asian 7750 running at 28800 bah. You should not have any problems with them.

As for the threaded crown on the radiomir reps, they can be a problem. However, as with all screw down rep crowns, if you press the crown in and turn it counter-clockwise until you feel the threads slide in place and then screw it in, there is minimal wear on the threads.

thanks for the info. i didn't realize the radiomir case limitations.

i certainly wouldn't care if there was an actual 8 day feature. i really just like the look of the dial (or even if it just had "radiomir" on it), the 45mm radiomir case, and last but certainly not least, the gold hands which the 183 and the 210 radiomir's lack...and that give the 190 the more vintage look.

maybe i can have davidsen get me a 210 with gold hands...problem solved!

Personally, I would like to see someone put some 8 dayish bidges on a Unitas 6497 and just get it over with. I think the watch would look great with a faux 8 day movement in it.

that would be ideal.

but for now, not sure why a simple radiomir with gold hands in a 45mm case is not being offered.

and in a similar vain, a 44mm luminor case with no panerai branding, gold hands and "marina militare" dial. or how about the mini-fiddy 44mm case in this config? sweet!
