PAM 127 - Which movement? Asian or Swiss?

Hi all,

I was about to buy a modded PAM 111H from Sead and changed the order 2 days ago as Royal Mail have lost my PAM 127.
He has given me 2 options for buying a 127, with 1 being the Swiss movement and the other Asian.

Will the movements look identical?....will the Swiss movement version have more accurately engraved bridges? Will it indeed be Swiss anyway?

Or should I just save $110 and go for the Asian version as they both have Sapphire crystal anyway?
(Accuracy in looks and reliability is more important than price)

(I've bought an Eddie Lee dial from a RepGeek member recently so thats sorted and should arrive soon, and have a Ziggy modified CG)

Advice would be appreciated.

If you trust sead actually give you a swiss movement for only 110 more go swiss
Any other way go asian.
By the way, i dont know sead, maybe you should ask if sead has swiss movements.

sead is not as well known here as he is on RG.

Swiss 6497 is in low beat as 18000 VPH .
Asian 6497 is hi beat as 21600 VPH .
Asian 6497 looks closer to gen , and the Swiss is in better quality .
Both of them are good , you can think about it !

The asian movements are just as reliable as the Swiss in my experience (I have several of both). Provided the rest of the watch is the same, go Asian. However, I'd suggest going either for Time4Direct's 'Ultimate' Fiddy or DSN's, they're the two best out of the box Fiddys around at present.

Greg, I had already paid Sead for his modded 111H offers about 2 weeks ago, so when I realised I needed another 127, I changed the order. So he already has my money and I thought, ok let me get a 127 from him. (Normally would have used T4D)

I've settled on the Asian version and he's offered to give 3 nice straps, so fingers crossed everything works out ok.
