My Pam 127 from trustytime just arrived. When the mailman handed me the flimsy envelope I knew I was in trouble!! Double folded courier envelope with a small amount of very cheap bubble wrap inside. Drop shipped from Malaysia. Of course the minute hand was laying in at the bottum of the watch. The CG lever was non working and just flopped around and doesn't even touch the crown. Wow what a major let down. Instead of a watch in a toy I got a watch in a lunch bag. I guess Andrew is not personally inspecting his items. There is absolutely no excuse for shipping a watch from the far east in this manner. The drop shipper should be flogged.
The lever is just the luck of the draw getting a shoddy piece of work. Oh well, I am now working on getting this exchanged, returned, etc.
Win a few lose a few. I was just expecting a much much better experience !!

He does not inspect every item shipped - which obviously is the case here.

Explain your situation to him, and he will take care of you - only negative thing here is you'll have to wait a few extra days to receive your beauty.

Not every transaction is flawless in the game we're in......

His site specifically reads:

:: WARRANTY ON PRODUCTS ::

We provides a 3 months warranty for all watches sold. Defective watch must be returned with a note indicating the defect on the watch and please get a RETURN MERCHANISE NUMBER from us before you send the item back . A replacement or repair will be sent at no charge to you.

I have communicated with Andrew and I am sending this back today and he is sending a replacement. This is the 12th rep I have purchased over the last 5 years. This is the only one that was sent to me in an envelope with a small amount of bubble wrap protecting it. I could literally feel the outline of the watch inside from the outside of the envelope as I was walking from the mailman. That is just inviting damage and pilferring and maybe even customs issues. I bought a gen from Germany last year and it too was sent in an envelope and it too was broken. To me this is an issue that you can have control over. All watches should be sent in a box! I will be sending this back in a box!

So you've had a 91.6 success rate on reps rec'd in good condition - sounds pretty damn good to me. Life just ain't perfect all the time. 8)

I knew Andrew would resolve your problem.

I have had most of my reps come in envelopes surrounded by bubble wrap. However, the degree of the bubble wrap may be the issue in your case. Either way, glad that it is going to be taken care of for you.

I feel your pain brother. When my office called today and said an envelope arrived for me.. I thought hmm... usually I get a box from TWG. But I opened it up and saw the beautiful Breitling inside.

However... my new Breitling GT is DOA. I hear something loose inside the watch like a bearing or something... sooo bummed...

BUT... dealing with Andrew is the best.... and I am now too waiting to get this one returned for a new one.

A total bummer though!!

Madsub sorry to hear that you got the crunch too. I certainly do not blame Andrew, since this is a drop ship issue. I received a reply from him in about 1 hour, which is incredible considering the time difference. To me it's more of a quality controll issue, that hopefully will be corrected with the drop shipping. I can only imagine 500 lbs sitting on your watch in an envelope. However, if I get the 2nd issue the same way, i'm going to be a little on edge as I open it.
You pays your money and you take your chances!

sorry to hear it. My package from Andrew came in a "surprise" so, it was very secure. But I am glad Andrew stood by to fix your problem.

I have done several deals with Andrew and none of them had trouble.

The thing is, not every watch is sent by himself. I know he has couple guys work with him, maybe this time is a good example.

No matter what, he always stand by his products and take care of customers.

No worries from him.

This isn't about Andrew. This about putting a 150 gram sensitive instument wrapped in small bubble wrap and putting inside a soft paper envelope and sending it half way across the globe with much heavier parcels aand packages over a period of 3 to 7 days and expecting it to arrive in one piece without any damage. For some reason it seems absolutely stupid to me. I don't care how much progess is made in creating better and better reps if it's going to be sent out without some reasonable protection in the packaging. I have read many posts about how well packaged the watch was that people have received and it is clear to me that everyone appreciates that fact. So do I! I expect it. I do not expect perfection. But I do expect some sort of rationality in dealing with the final product.

Well, looking at the movement of my DOA Breitling I see the screw to hold the rotor down was broke off and loose inside the case. Unfortunately not able to be screwed back on.

I will take it a jeweler tomorrow and see what they say. I am no watchsmith so I don't know if a new screw will fix the problem or not.

We will see.

ps. Andrew is prompt and courteous!!! Totoally Trustworthy! Offered to fix it for free... or credit me for the repair. Hopefully though this is a simple (and possible) fix.
