I think that is probably the stupidest thing I have read today. I mean that in every aspect of the discussion.

Panerai blacklisting someone is pretty damn stupid
The guy not fully explaining what happened is pretty stupid
The people freaking out about it is pretty stupid

The more I read that thread the more it looks like other forums I know of.

Yeah. i believe anyone pissed off enough about it can easily just post "OH... OH ... TOYOTA is blacklisting me those f***kers!"

sounds exagerated.

I ve heard blacklisting from Dell, Amazon, Staples, Office Depot...but Panerai? interesting.

The quality of a gen is nothing impressive imo.

It certainly makes you wonder where the other three pages of that story went!
Seems like there must be a lot more going on than that.

that is the funniest crap i have seen in along time. rolls royce did this along time ago. they would prescreen their customers, then they went bankrupt and have never recovered from it to this day and they never will. if indeed this company has decided to start doing things like this their days will be numbered. general motors used to have the atittude that you will buy what they make and live with it while they treat you anyway they want and now they are on the verge of going broke also. panerai will erode their own customer base and then they will have no way out.

before you say they will sell all of them they make to someone else. they don't care what you think of them. take a good long look at ford and gm. they use to think like that also and now they have been reduced to junk statis. gm use to be the largest industrialized corparation in the world and that atittude tword their customers has reduced them to almost nothing.

there are lots of companys that make nice expensive watches. if panerai wants to strart down that slippery slope those guys will start spending their money somewhere else.

corprate bullys, you got to love them. 8)

How can Panerai blacklist a buyer? I can just walk to any AD and purchase one without showing my ID card... DUH! This is really ridiculous policy.

"take months to repair....." I don't know what's the service representative is doing. Seriously, there gone the days waiting for weeks/months for something to be repaired... when one can't repair, just replace the whole thing~!

Thats got to be the dumbest thing I've ever read. [smilie=puke.gif]

"Good bye cruel world, I am leaving you forever" (Shut up and leave already)

and even worse are those bleeding hearts responding to that drivel

"No don't leave us, we cant survive with out you" (my heart bleeds)
or
"Our fallen hero"."Say it ain't so Joe" (You need to find a new moron)

I'm so glad I'm here and not there.

The guy sent his Mare Nostrum Slytech in for a factory service, and a new dial.. they charged him $3,000.00

Life is Good! (esp. for Panerai!)
Klink

That is a bit extream, but what do you expect from a company that charges $3k for a $300 watch?[/quot

Let's get Enzo to build him one... :D

I have been to a few Panerai GTG's and if you are not in the in group the AD's are rude,,

REPs rule

Charging $3,000.00 for a new dial and a service, even on a Mare Nostrum
(since when does a redial cost a freaking fortune? When done by Panerai..)

Blacklisting...

Being rude to customers..

All very good business practices for Panerai, it elevates the brand to
a 'gift of the Gods' - and the Gods are fickle...

ROFLMAO

serves the Panerai customers right, IMO.. if they wish to put up with that sort of treatment, then they deserve it!

Maybe we can convince this guy to announce to Panerai that he will be selling his gen pam collection soon to rep collectors for dirt cheap. Just to piss them off

I personally don't think Panerai was able to stockpile suffcient movements to replace every one they sold ... that in itself could cause future issues. A big problem with low production numbers if you are going to fix or repair ...

Very Good Point my enzonian friend!
How quickly people forget about this point when they run out to get their "very different" limited edition whatever... car, cell phone, watch etc..

The words "limited edition" could take on a whole new meaning!
