Hello there, I bought a quite old ´´Omega De Ville´´ watch from someone who needed funds.

he couldn´t tell me the factory name rather mentioned he bought all his watches at noob (?!)

If there is anybody out there who knows anything about that watch or particularly the factory name, I would be thankful.

All the best and cheers

The movement looks like a VSF

Definitely a VSF. Looks really good.

That was my first thought too. But I have never seen a VSF with this screw ...
And this not the only difference.

Hmmm. I might be wrong but I just don't recall other factories doing this one which was why I immediately thought VSF. I remember seeing the VSF ones at Trusty too and they looked good.

I am not an expert on this either ... but I can remember, that V6F did this model years ago and V6F is a kind of predecessor of XF/VSF, so maybee this one is a very early V6F/VSF. But as I said - this is just a guess.

Has yours got the crystal on the sides of the case, so that the side of the movement is visible? If so then the VSF is the only version of this I recall seeing. If not, then it is not VSF. Either way, it looks well made from your pictures though..

I am not entirely sure about the factory, but the movement looks similar to the OMF V2 movements. Those are A2836 movements with decorative plates and a black balance wheel.
As you can see in the picture the balance bridge is a decorative plate on top of the actual balance bridge.
The upper picture depicts the VSF movement of my Aqua Terra.

OP' movement looks nothing like OMF nor any of 28** movements actually.
28** calibres do have balance wheel placed at 12 o'clock, gen 8500/8900 and VSF's have balance wheel almost centered at 6 o'clock.
If you can see any difference between yours VSF and OP's VSF that's because one of them is older version - factory was improving their clone over the time, there are at least two versions of VSF clonned 8*** movements.
