I’m thinking about getting a blue background gmt. Based on my forum research I think I should get

https://trustytime.asia/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5&products_id=20030

because it has reliable ICHS and seems to be the best blue background one on market.

does this seem reasonable or am I making a big mistake

That is this watch, except mine is CHS. ICHS is a good safe choice. The only real negative about most GMF GMT's is they use a thicker crystal and gasket so they sit higher than normal. It bothers some people more than others.

I changed the crystal and gasket on mine, among other things, lol.

Wow that’s a beautiful watch.

if I order a Prof xtal for gmt will it fit right in or will it require special modding with the gasket and stuff?

Prof crystal will fit and should be 1.8mm thick instead of 2.0mm like the stock GMF. That's a plus on reducing overall crystal height. But that will make the date appear slightly smaller because the cyclops is closer to the datewheel. So I always approach a crystal change with extra gaskets and open to options like changing the heights of the dial spacer or the datewheel overlay. Dial spacer height would need to be increased to offset a thinner crystal and that's not really feasible on a GMT because it reduces available post height for 4 hands. It is possible to remove the datewheel overlay, the stock printed date disc, shave the thickness of the brass datewheel, then re-attach the overlay. OTOH, you may be OK with the new look and not see a need to change a thing. Or you can ask Prof for a 2.0mm thick crystal if the original look of the high sitting crystal doesn't bother you.

I would make sure you can still get the ICHS watch before buying an extra crystal for it. Many factories have moved away from making them and TDs don't always update their listings.

Noob just dropped a new Pepsi with oyster bracelet. They also released one with a blue dial. My TD just posted pictures. Bezel looks much better colors than the old one.

Those are replica of the white gold models, not the 126710, which is why they have an oyster bracelet. They are being discussed in a couple of other threads. And unfortunately they still have the timebomb movement

Same insert that looks good with no speed bumps, but unfortunately wrong colors.

Also for that price they could get the rehaut engraving right ( not even mentioning the movement)

No they are not QCs - it’s just how my dealer posts images of watches on his profile for sales! I don’t buy off TDs on this forum as my dealer is reliable and helpful for me. ????

Profile as in Instagram or Facebook? Btw that’s great if your dealer suits your needs but is not a TD here, keep that shit to yourself.
