Sorry for the Noob Question here but how long does a handwind movement keep time for in the Panerai? How many times do you wind it? Thanks guys.

Wind it until it stops. You won't damage it as long as you don't force it. Just keep winding and you'll definitely know when it stops.
Fully wound, the Lemania or Seagull movements should run @40 hours +/-

So what model of Pam did you get? Don't forget to show pics, lest you be called a big fat liar!! :biglaugh:

Snpr - are you asking about a hand-wind mechanical movement, or are you asking about winding an automatic movement by hand? The two are very different.

Many Pams are hand-wind mechanical, like the ever-popular 111 model. The Daylight, however, runs an automatic A7750 movement - unless I am mistaken. This is a delicate and tricky movement and hand-winding is not advised. If done, it must be done very gently and slowly, and only enough to get the second hand running. There are other precautions when using the A7750 movement - I suggest you use the search function and read up on the A7750 and also the Daylight model before you jump in.
Good luck!

Ya know, I don't wind mine until they stop. I wind them about fifteen turns and that gets me through the day. Since I may not wear one of my three hand winders for another week or more, the power reserve issue does not apply.

Setting and winding my watches is part of the total watch owning experience, IMO.

So, get at least seven watches and things are simpler!

Yes I know guys about the 7750s I was looking into the PAm111s but the daylight just caught my eye so I went with it. Other then the movement what else is a concern with this watch?

The A6497 should have a power reserve of 55+ hours when fully wound.
