The other super clone movement (SA3186 from Noob) was a time bomb, so it had to be used very carefully, especially when changing the date.

These two new super clones movements (SH3186 from ARF and VR3186 from VRF) should be much more reliable and robust.

Prior to these releases, in order to get a reliable 1:1 movement, we had to spend more money, either buying a gen Rolex Caliber 3186 (approx. 2K USD/EUR) or adding some gen parts to an Asian 28xx clone movement.

Thanks a lot for anwser ! So that's all about reliability !
I knew this problem and was waiting for a reliable movement on BLNR ! I'm exciting too now ! :woo:

Markers definitely better in vrf, but the Canon pinion hole is more pronounced.

Movement Finnish in vrf much better

Vrf movement is nice and clean, and blue spring and notice the grease flowing out on arf.... Not to mention crappy Finnish.

By the way, even gen 3186 movements have hour springs that break down

Now that we have two competing factories, I think I'll wait til Batman or Pepsi and a second batch. Biggest concerns for me are the incompatible bracelet and that massive hole in the middle of the dial. Arf has their classic bold date. Neither have incredible bezels, but I guess Arf looks better between the two.

Edit

This is the same movement for the 16570 right? Maybe Vrf and Arf will do a new version of those

It is not a realistic option. I have looked into the idea of putting a gen 3186 into a gen-spec sub case (I have a JF, TC, and gen cases on hand) for a fun hybrid. According to the experts, the 3186 has different dimensions and won't fit a 3135 case. So you'd need a gen spec five digit GMT case (either 16710 or 16570), and a rep like that has not been made (yet!).

Lol sorry I already edited that part out by the time you replied! I realized how difficult it would be, but it would be interesting to see a brand new 5 digit rep with this movement, but of course swapping parts on it for gen would be.... hard

Pictures of braclet and caseback on purtime are exactly the same for arf and vrf.

Not sure if they use same bracelet or they used same picture accidentally.

They’re different. Clasp codes 6MW VRF, P3L ARF

Nearer than you think

So, let me get this straight, this new clone movement Won’t fit a 3135 5 digit case? Who said that? Is it a thing?

Rather odd... 3186 is just an improvement over the 3185 but should have identical dimensions.
3185 is using most of the 3135 as a base, so a 3185/6 should fit a 3135 case. Hasn't it been done?
