heres a gen from 2014 that I sold a couple months back ,VRF nailed the CG's but the lugs look a bit to fat?

Good eye, indeed those look a bit fat compared to the gen you posted. Maybe it's just the angle or something anyway I don't care much about the lugs this too can be corrected no problem.

How about the dial ?

People were worried about center hole. Looks like it's not there anymore.

I sent pics of this to my bro andrei I like this watch .vrf have improved the rehaut.the cg look really good.the lugs look pretty good aswell.vrf done good.i would get a better bracelet though because I dont like the sel on this.and I dont like the insert font.gen inserts are cheap for this gmt2

Yeah inserts are cheap. But for 430$ I think they did a great job on that.
This watch is going to my friend and it's his first rep so I'm sure it's good as it is

Lugs look a tad fat but I don't think it would be very noticeable if not side by side with a gen. Not like the ARF fat boxy look. VRF lug tips have a good angle on them. Insert markers are thinner than gen, pretty common on reps. No center dial hole showing around hand surrounds.

I don't think a gen bezel or insert is going to work on the VRF. Li from Jtimewatch could not get a Clean Factory insert to fit a VRF Sub. Also lug width on the VRF Sub is slightly narrower than 20mm so other bracelets wouldn't fit without shaving the SELs. Maybe VRF changed those things for this GMT model, we'll know for sure soon enough.

I have messed around with two VRF subs and noob/JF/gen bracelets fit on both with some force (not enough to damage the bracelets). Worth seeing how this turns out.

No one has one yet how have you come to this conclusion... would be nice if people wait until a few people actually have the watch in hand before asking will xxx fit and is it reliable after a year of scuba diving. Could be full of gummy bears for all we know at this point! Sorry if i seem rude, your far from the worst offender but as everyone knows, patience is key in this hobby. Lets just wait until some of the pros like occb get it in hand!

Im going to wait till I have them in hand before I start to say anything. What I have learned is I can get a perfect one and someone else it will be different. All depends on the parts they have at hand at the time of build.

From the pic of the ARF the top of the rehaut sucks. It is not polished. Looks pitted. That will take me some time to sand down then polish before I will get it to look right. But if that is the only problem, I will like it.


smoke if the VRF 116710 LN is like the VRF 116610LN a real bracelet won't fit with out modding the case. Or the bracelet, but if I am using a real bracelet it would be the case.

I too agree that the lugs can use some work but the actual rehaut is good besides the top lip of it and the CG's are spot on. I don't have any 78200 on hand and I dont think I will need them. I have a real dial, crystal, hands, date wheel, bezel. I will even try a crown. Im sure the tube won't fit, like the last ones. Im done tapping cases and counter sinking to get a tube on. The stock fit a real 704 with out issues.

I can't wait. The excitement it killing me!!!!

Rob, I can’t wait either! Exciting times indeed. I hope VRF will pass your scrutiny with flying colors. Just like what we did with Noob and it’s 4130 movement, I believe we should support VRF for FINALLY (it’s been a long time!) cloning this movement. Pending your review, I have not ordered from Sead yet. but my heart goes to VRF if only for their balls to do this!
