New to automatic Panerai

I know this will sound silly but I just took possession of a brand new 50 and have no idea how to wind it.

It runs on an A7750 and no chrono feature so its "less prone" to become an expensive paper weight.:facepalm: Thats all I know.

Is the only way to wind it is to shake it clockwise (staring at the dial)? If so how many times to kick start it before putting it on?

Can I/ Should I manually wind an A7750?

How do I change to date?

How many clicks should there be for adjustments 2 or 3? What does each one do?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with A7750 movement.

I always wind the A7750 when they have stopped. Wind it up 30 -40 times, first click to set the date, second click to set the time and open up the CG

Make sure you wind slowly. Rep movement gears are not like gen movement thay if you wind too fast you can strip the gear. My 2 cents.

I was going to wind the hell out of it but I'll go slow.

Do you think its safer to just rotate the rotor on the palms of my hands and when it starts up, I can just put it on and let the natural body movement charge it?

If you watch is complete stop then you should wind it 20-30 times but go slow and steady. Winding gears of a7750 is much weaker than eta7750. You can ask this to any modder. Once is moving then try to use rotation of rotor to keep the power. I hope this help.
