Just got it this afternoon...

If you gents can stomach the wait, I'm actually having my girl model this one when she gets back on Saturday (you might remember her from my Sub post ). I'm hoping I get the correct band from Davidsen by then--I wanted the smooth-ass black one above, but accidentally got this one:

The unitas movement in general is pretty loud. If you think the 005 is loud, wait until you buy one with a display back and an Asian movement, they are even louder. :shock:

I am at the point now that I usually can't sleep without that sound.

First: love the 005 - have completely missed this 'model' thing - have to search for that :wink:


Second, my 6497s don't seem that loud - may help that I get 'em oiled etc

FWIW, you can get oiled leather smooth straps like that from InternationalWatchman.com for pretty cheap, too.

I have one in light brown on my Marine Diver auto (Panny homage watch) and I love it.
