I have become fascinated by Pam but im afraid my wrist it too small. I really like the DSN Pams but can not risk buying them and not liking the size due to price. I would appreciate any pictures you might have.

I have a 6.5 inch wrist, and Im wearing a 50mm watch, but if you are worried its to big, just go for a 40mm model

I agree with deloreandmc my wrist is about 6.5 and I am looking for a 40mm PAM 048, 049 or 050 as my next buy.

Some trusted dealers can provide you with them

thanks you everyone...

@ oldecrew....those pams look good on you

I got interested in the new daylight chrono pams DSN is offering which is 44mm. It is pretty expensive though. I am looking at the black dial.

What do you guys think? How close does it look to Gen to worth justifying the price?

A 44mn will look good on a 6.5 wrist & better on an another 6.5 wrist etc...

My best advice, go to an AD and try some real one like i did. 2 benefits: you will get your own opinion "in real" & you will have a good time trying some lovely Panerai :)

Davidsen always has at least one hand that is too long or too short, it's kind of his trademark "tell" whether he knows it or not... Still you wouldn't know without putting the two side by side. Quality is usually great and you can't really go wrong with the swiss powered stuff.

For that price, i would expect everything to be perfect. Is that asking too much?

The whole point of paying alot is I dont have to worry about modding it later.

:biglaugh:

I'm just too jaded to answer that statement with anything polite.

Coldi has the right idea though, it's a lot easier to make one of the simple hand crankers look spot on than a chronograph... and genuine parts don't hurt either...

Quite frankly, yes. Sorry, there is no "perfect" PAM rep out there. The Ferrari models come the closest, but I'm not a fan of any of them, personally.

I hope no one is offended by my comment about perfection. My idea of perfect is not having to worry about being called out. I dont really worry about little imperfections but for the price I would only hope of being called out with Side By Side comparison.

Not that many people even know what a PAM is to begin with. Those that do are not likely to know enough about them to discern if it is a rep or a gen.

I would not worry about being "called out". If you like the watch, wear it. :)

+1.

IMHO, unless you work at a Panerai AD, your risk of being put to shame (if that is a concern for you) by wearing a Panerai rep is miniscule at best. There are 40mm PAMs available from Narikaa, too. The 048 and 049, I think.

Go for it!
