Hey everyone!

I'm mike and I am absolutely amazed at how friendly and helpful this community is. I have been looking forever for a new watch, I currently own 2 Breitling SuperOceans, and have decided on a new Panerai. After owning my first Breitling I noticed a few things I didn't like ie size, strap, etc. So i took that knowledge and got my second. Now I took quite the hit for a 'trial' on my first Breitling. Both are GEN's and now I have decided to get a high end (sorta) REP before I commit the money for a GEN.

After reading and reading and reading I just came to the conclusion that I'll just ask! I'm looking for a Panerai Luminor Marina or something along those lines. If anyone could help with contacts or any sort of direction it would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks again and I hope I'm not overstepping any boundries by being a NOOB on here and coming straight for help without giving any back at the start.

First tip: Don't do it! I started of wanting one PAM, no I own 15!! These things are addictive!!!!!!!!!

If you choose to ignore me, just look in the dealersection. Some of the best PAM reps come from Davidsen. He has his own little corner in the dealersection. If you want to spend less: Try Time4Direct (also a dealer here). A real must have is either a Fiddy (PAM 127) a 47 mm giant or a 111.
Good luck in your quest, and remember....... DON'T DO IT!!!

Haha ya I can see how addictive these things get. I think I'll take your warning into consideration but in the long run... i'm gonna have to REBEL! I really like the 1950 but I also, this may sound picky, would like to have the date. I'll get ahold of Davidsen and see what I can get.

Thanks for your response and warnings!

yeah i have been reading and reading for the past 4 days now. i think i'm ready but i'm sure many of you will beg to differ. i'm just amazed how sketchy some of the online sites are and how MANY of them there are! I mean seeing reps claiming 'real' swiss valjoux for over $800 and by looking at the pics you can just tell that its prob worth $150. Crazy!

so what does all the F, H, or E mean after all the 111's? I noticed that they are all priced fairly the same but can't really figure out what the letters mean.

They indicate the year of manufacture-

A=1998 B=1999 C=2000 D=200 1E=2002 F=2003 G=2004 H=2005 I=2006 J=2007 K=2008

oh i see... now is there a certain year thats better then most? is there one in particular that looks best in REP form? or are they all pretty standard.

The 111 is essentially the same watch year to year with some variations in the dial (sausage vs. sandwhich) and other minor variations.

There is a good downloadable spreadsheet located here. It has some good information on Panerai models.---> http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/pam-spreadsheet-v6-1-update-24644
