Hello , like the title said. I am looking to buy a panerai 42mm. I have already ordered an Omega Orange PO 42mm with ETA2836 and Tag Heuer Calibre 17 43mm with Quartz OS20. I will receive it in 2 or 3 weeks, so i dont know if the 43mm will be too big or i'll stick to 42mm watches. For the moment i guess that i will stick to a 42mm.
Can't wait to receive my 2 watches and already searching for my third one.

Had been searching for a panerai 42mm on some trusted dealers website and cant find the one am looking for. Someone with more expertise can help me choose one. That would be great

The picture show a 44mm but i want something like this in a 42mm. I would like to know which movement will best suite this type of panerai.

That watch doesn't exist in 42mm, sorry. FYI, ALL Panerai Luminors are 40mm or 44mm. The only 42mm PAMs were the smaller Radiomirs, but those are no longer being repped.

Which rep can i get in 40mm which look similar to this one? i will consider other than luminor . I dont want chrono and if possible same movement like the gen if it exist.

Does the power reserve works on rep panerai which have this feature?

This is a pic of a Destro 026 (left handed). Are you looking for a left handed watch? Also, I don't think panerai has ever made a 40mm pvd luminor. If you're looking for a 40mm luminor, you'll have to go with ss.

I want a panerai less than 44mm with black pvd and leather strap, if it doesnt exist.. then i'll choose one in black dial,SS case and black leather.

Power reserve indicator and transparent backcover will be a +.
i dont need a left handed watch, its a pic i found on google, just to get an idea for what am looking for.

Which movement will best suit the model that you would proposed!

There aren't much 40mm pam rep out here, so if you really want a 40mm, I think the best thing you can do is contact some of the trusted dealers and ask them what they can source.

Sorry, no 40mm PAMs with display case backs, either.

I'd suggest you get a PAM048 rep - it seems to be about as close to what your after as possible.

Have you tried on a 44mm PAM? How big are your wrists?

Haven't tried any PAM yet. My wrist is 7inch but my hand is a bit small compared to a normal man hand :biglaugh:

Is it the PAM048?
cn_s_35_1098.jpg

How to know which PAM is a O48 .... most of them look identical :headdesk:

Asian7750 is the best option for a 048.

Why an Asian7750? the gen used the same movement?
Asian7750 isnt a movement with chrono?

I appreciate all help you guys have given me... i think i'll get the PAM048.
Need to find a dealer now! :)

deadpunk,

Hi and welcome to the forum BTW!
I tried the PAM253 and it was too big for my 7" wrist.
I have been searching for a 40mm PVD PAM myself.
They don't make it.
But don't let that stop us from our dreams.

You can always give the case, CG and crown a PVD or DLC treatment! :anopsis:

Why should all of these 44mm models get to have all the fun?

If your wrist is seven inches, you should be able to wear a 44mm PAM. My wrist is slightly larger than seven inches and I wear them quite frequently. Pick yourself up a low cost 111 and try it on for size/fit. Your choices are quite limited in the 40mm range. Your choices are numerous in the 44mm range!

That would be great, you have a link to a nice tut? Dont know if i will be able to do it myself. Where i live , in the middle of the indian ocean, shipping is costly! but that will not stop me to get what i want :)

I have a 6.9 wrist and I wear 44mm PAMs as well as other big watches like the 46mm B&R. I took some time to get used to those big watches, but now I couldn't come back to anything below 40mm.

But if 40mm is your final choice, here is my $.2:

Considering you're looking for something pretty rare, the movement shouldn't be your first concern. You can still make it replaced, and hopefully replicated panerai parts are easy to source.

IMO you should try to contact some of the trusted dealers and ask which 40mm they can get (ask for pictures). Then you can choose from the available products.

I have one 40mm PAM...it has a 7750 in it. All the others are 44mm. They all have the 6497 hand-wind movement. As far as mods, I have done the cannon pin, cg pin etc. A few PAMS were sacrificed until I finally got kinda "ok" on the mod thing. :)

Why an Asian7750?
Because it is the best movement available for a 40mm automatic Luminor.

the gen used the same movement?
No, the gen uses an ETA/Valjoux 7750 based movement. The closest thing in a 40mm rep is the A7750.

Asian7750 isnt a movement with chrono?
It can be, yes. However, the 7750 is the base movement for both rep and gen Auto PAMs.

Good luck!

Can someone tell me the price range of a PAM048 with A7750?

I have found one on puretime for 238USD + shipping.
Any recommendation for a specific dealer which accept paypal?
