Love that watch
RXW did a great job overall with this watch. And very nice pix!
In fact, I've owned several, bought a couple for friends and even had a back up for my own wearer, brand new. But all love affairs come to an end. Finally last week, I sold my last (and first) one, my own daily wearer.
Two reasons for the sale(s) for me:
1. My tiny wrists finally made me realize that 47mm watches (meant by the vintage panerai to be worn over a rubber dive suit!) look kind of ridiculous, at least on me. Maybe if I had bigger wrists.
2. The more I saw my 44mm 111 and the vintage panerai models the MM20 is based on and the newer 1950, the more I didn't like the very large numbers and the very large thin font of "marina militare" - it looked a bit off balance to me. And I really like the gold hands on the vintage pieces (though this could have easily been changed).
Enough about that - don't mean to all criticize the MM - just wasn't right for me in the end. I agree it's one hell of stunning watch--in fact, I still stare in admiration when my good friend wears his and miss seeing it in my watch box. And it was a great price relative to Gens. The combination of quality finish and looks and price is is why imo Panerai shut them down specifically...it hit too close to home!
Wear it in the best of health. Very nice choice!
