The only thing that movement has in common with an ETA is the shape of the rotor. Not even close to a clone.

The only thing that movement has in common with an ETA is the shape of the rotor. Not even close to a clone.

It has the same hand fitment as ETA movements and lingne is 11.5 I believe. Stem height could be an issue.

Remember, there are many other etas out there, not just the 2824, 34, and 36.

This looks to me closer to the 2879.

Some photos for reference:

Take a close look at both movements and tell me which parts you think are swappable? It may be based on a 2879 but it sure isn't close to a clone. And the fit and finish on it is about the worst new movement I've seen.

Gen 2879 below:

Actually, if it's good movement it would be an excellent inexpensive way to swap out broken actual clone or ETA on the cheap, other than being low-beat. I'm guessing it's more like the new supposed hi-beat DG 2813 which has already become known as the POS movement.

I'll leave it for others to do the test run on it. Still think it looks like a piece of crap.....

I get your point now. I agree, a clone it is definitely not! I was only thinking it was more "like" a 2879 in terms of bph, size, and functionality (cheap but functional).

Anyone actually buy one?
