I recently bought a 411 off kw directly, the dial was tobacco brown like a 390, instead of black like gen, and they told me all their 411 are brown dials now so I sent mine back for a refund right away.
yupp. I had the kw 417 which I got last year and it was one of the best reps I've ever had, if not the best. then someone stole it. so I jumped when i saw kw still had stock on their boutique models. I was disappointed to say the least when it arrived with a brown dial. ridiculous imo

well kuvarsit told me their factory doesn't make the black dial ones anymore, and the latest batch were all produced with tobacco dials, which I completely do not understand why they would do it when it's so clearly wrong. I think maybe Ale is unaware of this issue cos the correct dial 411/416/417 from kw were indeed beautiful reps
I've got an incoming 417 from Ryan. From the QC pics it's hard to tell the colour of the dial but it appears to be black. We'll see.
I just order Pam417 and just received the QC pic, it look to me is brown dial.
This flaw is unacceptable and spoilt the gen-feel of the legendary KW boutique pieces.
Can I ask for refund if this is the case?

yea mate it really is. I returned mine for a refund for other additional flaws as well, but they sure are taking their sweet time actually refunding me the money. just try telling them you don't want the watch and ask for a refund cos the brown dial is really unacceptable considering how the boutique models from kw had such good reputation it's really ruined by such an epic fail
the dial on a gen 411/416/417 as well as the other boutique editions are black.
here is a pic of a gen clearly showing the black dial:
the new batch of kw boutique models clearly have the wrong dial colour.
the gen pic he posted just looks off black cos of the angle, whereas I've had the new kw 411 and it's definitely tobacco brown like a 390
