I think the price he quoted you is really high. I estimate mine will reach 1500$, including the service of the movement and assembly of the watch.

Seriph, yeah he can be kinda expensive, but what you would get would be a full NOS (new old stock) build that has been freshly put together and fully tested. If the extra expense is worth it I dunno, it compares with a bought 2nd hand watch at those prices. But watchco does have a good rep with his sm300s builds which are very good. The speedy you would get would essentially be as good as new...but without box and papers.

I agree pap it can be pricy, he is also worth haggling with, as they are getting rid of their entire inventory they would prob be willing to do deals etc.

..not a bad price, not exactly a great deal and it would be nicer if it was with the newer bracelet but all things considered with new everything and full service it's not too bad. I think also that watchco are or were official service agents for Omega Australia at one stage, so it would effectively be a bit of a newly serviced bonus compared to the average 2nd hand ebay example. Depends on how much value is in box and papers, on average 2nd users items seem to go for around £1500 in the UK recently. There may be better deals on 2nd user items state-side though.

You can still get that silver dial from CousinsUK, at something like $160 less!

Ok. So I ended up ordering 4 different crystals from CousinsUK. Took a week or two to get them here. Last night I decided to try to find the one that would work. Turned out really good in my opinion.

Here's what I ended up doing to get the version you see in the finished pics.

I bought all 3 current versions... Quartz, 21j auto and Lemania handwind. I think the best case dial combo is the 21j. I sold the handwind because I thought the case was too small and subdials were way too far apart for my liking. I used the case, dial & movement from the 21j. It had the wrong caseback though (was a Michael Schumacher). I used the caseback from the quartz which fit the 21j perfectly (miraculous). I then ordered the crystals I mentioned before. Turns out the 32.2 was the right one...

At some point I'll probably take the crystal back out and paint the inner edges of the bezel/rehaut black. I think it will look better. I'm pretty happy with it though...

@ LHooq, I think both are similarly priced at around £160 gbp, the cousinsuk one is ex vat. Not a saving or anything, but he does have some hands and gemini dial and other bits that are hard to find (all black) etc.

I just dragged it out it was in a box with a few older reps, it's still working fine, but I haven't given it a good shake or tested the time on it. It's from around 2007 and seems to have a sapphire crystal on it, yep definitely not plastic or mineral and very thick and solid. It is a21j but rock solid.

You can have the watch if you want, no charge, I don't need it and I'd be glad to see someone make use out of it, just PM me your address and I'll send it on to you next week sometime. The one on the right is not included

No prob mark, glad to see it go to someone who might make use out of it, the dial on your one is much better, you might find some parts in it that are useful. yep the one on the right is the gen I bought a couple of years ago. btw I don't have braclelet with the rep, not sure what happened to that, I mostly wore it on a strap.

I can try to point out where I think it should be painted. There's link somewhere to a mod over on rwg that shows it. I'll see what I can find...

In my mind its everything on the inner edge of the case after you have the movement & crystal out. I don't know if yours is made exactly like mine though. Post some pics if you can...

It's not the rehaut that's black. It's the tension ring for the crystal.
