Very nice, How's the date mag...mine casts a nasty shadow ,can only be read with a dead on look...but i still loove my Pam
Is that cyclops an add on ? I can almost see some AR color in the reflection in the cyclops like it was applied over the AR ?

Fellow watch lovers, I have pulled a fast one on you all. That's my genuine PAM164 which I just received back from an overhaul. I....well, actually a young lady I met in a bar in Chicago....broke the crystal about five months ago. Panerai determined that it was necessary to replace the crystal, bezel and dial. Nice work and it only took a half year and $800 for the fix. Arrrggghhh.
Forgive me, I just had to see if anyone would call it out as a rep.

... and no-one did. The problem (or lack of for us rephounds) is that from that range, Panerais are damned close to genuine. In my opinion, most PAMs would pass a wrist inspection as long as they had the obvious, like recessed pin stuff, done.efnstefn said:
Pugwash.... You are so right. I got into reps because of this whole business with repairing my 164. This is the first day directly comparing the gen to the reps that I've purchased. They are extremely close. I'm truly impressed.

Yes, yes, whatever. Lets put a palp crown! Go for the tickest. A nice 2.1 will really set the watch off.
Perfect example of how ridiculous we get about trendy mods. A thick crown may look "good" (like wider tires on a car), but often times is not needed.

Nice one. 164 is one of the better looking 44mm auto has to offer - minus the subs. Could tell it is a gen first by the Date Mag - no reps has comes close to that, even with the mods done. Not even close.
The crown looks thick in that pic as well.
