Looks pretty much the same, biggest difference being the new movement, as well as the addition of the beautiful smoked gold dial. Hopefully ZF will make a rep without the pizza hands base

I like the fact that the new movement, AP Cal. 7121, features a quick-set date function which is a much more easier to use than the old Cal. 2121. Now there is no need to modify the Miyota 9015 movement date function, which was done by XF and ZF. Most dimensions and details are the the same as the 15202, which is a good thing IMO.

Yes, just a typo I think lol. Love the fact there is a new caliber now featuring the quickset date. The 2121 is obsolete IMHO.

I believe there is also a new 39mm tourbillon. I know repping it will be unrealistic, but I enjoy the fact that there is a smaller easier to wear tourb.
Finally they’re replacing the embarrassment of a movement. Might put my name done now and see how it goes

The movement was part of the history of the ancestor.
True it is not offering the performance of the last stuffs but who cares about the performance for such a watch. Unlike the 324 from patek, the 2121 allowed AP to keep the same look as the original 5402.
That said i feel align with you on the date, that's a real plus to have a quick date adjust, specially if you are not wearing the watch as a daily beater ....
I wanna melt down that green dial and inject it directly into my veins.
The new caliber 7121 is alot of fun to assemble and to work with directly.
The very most imortant improvement would be to reduce the size of the pinion as it has been the biggest and most visible issue with the 15202.
Lets see if its worth it to rep the special rotor for this year (which i find to be kind of an odd and gimmicky move from ap)

I agree! Once you've noticed that flaw that's hard to forget it. I heard some RWI members could fix that though
Legend and AP modder can trim the hand base to look close enough to gen (even closer with this new 16202 imo). ZF dial is already good so I hope they can update their game soon this year.
I think being allocated one by AP would be a tad more meaningful. You get to wear it while being alive at the same time. It’s a huge incentive. :legend:
