If I wanted to take the time and effort to make this watch great is it plausible? ..or should I find one that's already been modded and buy it instead? Dealer is Davidsen.. i heard he's the PAM man.
Will do. I'm actually starting to think that modding the watches is probably half of the fun. Of course the cost of the Gens deter many of us.. but I'm starting to think what we really enjoy about this hobby is hunting the watches down and then taking on the project of making them perfect.. (maybe that's what I'm looking forward too).
Personally the crown is about the only mod you might want to consider and I'm happy with it as it is , DSN lume is great so a re lume is not required IMO the Date font is fine and a new leo would be wasted because the mag is average, so unless you upgrade the crystal Id leave alone. The biggest flaw is the case back but know one will see that. The 229 is a great watch.
