Hi everyone,

Im considering getting a Rolex GMT-Master II Bruce Wayne with the 3285 movement (Clean factory ) .
I was wondering if anyone has experience with its water resistance. Can it handle water exposure, like washing hands, showering, or even swimming?

I’d appreciate any insights or experiences. Thanks!

The problem is that it's impossible to know for sure how good WR on a replica out of the box really is. It's a hit and miss, more or less...

It's a rep, so you also have no true consumer warranty for that in the traditional sense. It may have 100m or even 200m WR or it could have no WR at all.

Unless you test or get it tested by a watchmaker, I wouldn't risk swimming with a rep.

Almost all modern replicas can be made water resistant.

But like eBoy said, you should test them.

There is no standard for assembly. Missing/dry gaskets, pinched gaskets, improperly assembled watches, loose casebacks, all have been seen before on replicas and compromise water resistance

I have, but haven’t used a yet, a water resistance tester from Amazon. You pump it up to get pressure, dunk the watch in the chamber filled with water and watch for bubbles coming from the watch’s case. Gotta remove the watch immediately if you see them. I may test it with my old TAG and it’s nice to have whenever I want to use

Generally speaking, I would expect all of them to be water resistant. You would not know for sure until you actually pressure test your specific unit as there could be a manufacturing defect in your particular unit or they could have forgot to put a gasket in place.

Hi buddy

Generally it should be water resistant direct from Factory.

As a TD myself, my QC checks for all this Rolex Sports most basic requirement is that it should be water resistant and usually it should be also waterproofed to at least 10m. However there are customers who do not take good care of their watches due to their limited knowledge. Sometimes customers do not secure the crown properly after adjustment and cause water to seep in causing damages. So we will advise customers to know how to secure the crown carefully and do check from time to time if the case back is locked tight.

If there is anything we can help you with any queries, please feel free to EMAIL at: [email protected] or PM us here.
