Is Panerai dead?

To be honest I think it looks very close and not too thick at all, one is gen the other the zf

obviously not at the same angle to get the depth etc but................

I've checked the video of TT with gens on Youtube definitely looks too thick and too deep to me on on the new ZF rep obviously to my eye.

Thanks i would appreciate that a lot . If you can let me know what you think once in hand , and i will pull the trigger on one myself . I know that sounds really cheeky but peoples opinion of the actual watch is always better than TD pics and videos . I know you like a Panerai so i will value your opinion . I have filled my boys/toys fund up again and the 687 and the AF Cartier BB 42mm Blue with strap are at the top of my list for my watch box . The Cartier so both myself and the wife can wear it , she likes wearing mens watches .

That's bananas, I sold a Grimlocked 24c with gen Tritium dial and hand set for much less than that, should've held out for more!

I sold all of my watches last december, because I started my own business. Now that Im financially stable I want to get some of my watches back.

Getting a 243 is impossible, only M2M. So I looked for a 024 with brushed bezel, out of production as well. 390? Same story. Hopefully the 312 or 320 is still in production...

They don't want to, or they can't, for any number of reasons. They may have wanted to shift to another brand, they didn't have the parts, the models they made didn't sell well, the list goes on...

Does anyone know which Panerai models are "readily" available from dealers and considered super reps? I have a bunch of Panerai straps, but only 2 PAMS (XF 024 and DSN 028). Wouldn't mind buying another Panerai for the gen JV strap I own. Yes, truly a first world problem: "I own a bunch of straps, but not enough watches! waaa!"

13.2 GEN ~ 15.8 REP is substantial however I will accept it cuz the overall specs are good. It’s a summer watch and the owner will meet very few people sporting the GEN.
