Very interesting find, self-explaining and excellent read with great and detailed pics. The Seamaster 300 Coax with this Myota is a great rep.

Thanks for the great article. I have had good luck with the Miyota movement. I learned as they said that "The Miyota cal 8215 is an indirect sweep seconds design, very common in Swiss watches of even very high grades in the past. It allows for an elegantly simple design of the the watch" I never appreciated the simplicity; but I do appreciate the price at around $40.00

My Seamaster 300 coax is like this. It's on its second 8215 because I changed the original one out in case it was just a batch issue.

Here are my 2 cents on (2) watches I have with miyota 9015's. One is a Deep Blue and the other is NTH. I just want to say they have been two of the best most reliable movements I have had. And I never freak out over the whole date change thing with the Asian28XX series movements. The two 9015's I have when compared with my 28XX series reps are just as smooth and do not have stutter issues that the 8XXX series seem to suffer from. At least in my very limited experience with the 8XXX series. Thank you gentlemen and hava nice day.
