Hi everyone.

I am new to the replica watch scene. A few years ago I bought an omega rep from a random site. Surprisingly, the watch did work for a little while. The chronograph on it never worked, eventually the rotor fell apart, and it is just a nice looking piece on a shelf now.

I am looking to do a bit better this time around.

I love the look of the Omega Seamaster Professional watches, particularly the chronographs. I've read on here that almost none of the chronographs are actually functional on automatics.

I am looking for a watch i can wear daily, that will last a few years, and less than $100.

Here's what I've found so far, and I'm wondering if any of these would work for me. So far I've looked at silix, and timeshops.net.

I'd like the chronographs to work, these are the chronographs that I've found

Is this one not an automatic? http://www.timesshop.net/9908-om502...ono-blue-dial-ss-ss-japan-os-chronograph.html

Is this the same one as above? http://www.timesshop.net/seamaster/...ster-black-dial-ss---asian-21j-automatic.html

The non-chronographs

What is the difference between this one, and the one above? GMT? means what? http://www.timesshop.net/seamaster/1355-omega-seamaster-profesional-black-ss---21j-.html

I understand the numbers on the (i think you call it a Bezel) outter rim don't line up on some of the watches, how difficult is this to correct?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason.

Okay, so let me simplify some things for you..

Almost all of your chrono's that you've linked are 21J movement. This is not a chrono movement. Instead it displays day/date/24h on the subdial. The second hand also ticks and shows seconds, whereas a real chrono movement the big second hand, will actually be a chrono second stop watch hand. So it will not run.

Your non-chrono are going to be more accurate, just because you don't have that wrong chrono function.

IDK what you're talking about GMT on the last link... there is nothing in the link that says GMT. GMT watches are ones that'll tell a 24 hour time, mainly to help with time zones.

As for not lined up bezel, this is only the problem with breitling navitimers. all the watches that you linked have sub bezels, which are usually lined up without incident.

To get the functioning chrono movement you need to stump up the cash for the 7750 version mate.

If I were to pony up the money for a high quality replica, what sort of tools should I look into to maintain it? I've read about oiling it, I'm sure WD-40 is not what was meant.

Thanks for your help guys, I appreciate it.

You would need to take it to a watch maker and get it serviced ($100-$200) sometime in the future. Some people don't service the watch whereas some do it right at the beginning.

The servicing will oil your movement, adjust for any delay in the watch (running fast or slow) and a nice cleaning. "proper" oiling requires the right type of oil and the right amount of oil at each part so it's a lot more complicated than it seems. Typically people say a serviced asian rep is as good as a Swiss movement and will last you a good few years if not longer.

It's definitely a lot more than what you have in mind but it depends on how you value your replica watches.
