If you have the correct caseback you need the correct MOVEMENT to boot . . .
THere is a rep out there I saw for sale with an ETA or CN in the window and it looks dumb. And using that movt means the dial is wrong as well
The solid backed REP PAM203 has the subsecond in the right spot, which you can't do if you put an ETA or CN in there, they are just too wide. The rep uses an ASIAN 21 J auto which has an expansion plate that gets the correct dial dimensions but who wants to see that movt? It's wrong and fugly to boot ...
I in fact measured the REP DIAL to a GEN ANGELUS movement and it's almost right, you could mod a GEN movt by just making the centre hands hole a slight bit larger ..
Then you'd have a nice watch, all you need is the 8 DAY movt.
