How do rep DayDates use an A2836 if the 'day' is located at 12 o'clock, not 3?

So I am basically looking to replace my Asian movement (which I killed) with a swiss one, its for my GMF 36mm DayDate.

From what I have read, the difference between the 2834 and 2836 movements is that 2834 has the day window at the 12 o'clock position whereas the 2836 has it at the 3 o'clock position. So my question is, how are DayDate reps using an Asian 2836 if the day is located at 12 o'clock, and should I buy the ETA 2834 or ETA 2836?

I am still new to the world of auto watches so bear with me!

My guess would be that the 2836 clone that's being used has the same dial side layout as the 2834. These are clones and not genuine movements so they can be manufactured differently.

The 2834 and 2836-2 movements both work. They are mechanically identical, except the 2834 has a big day disc that overlaps the date disc so that it allows day indication at 12 o'clock position. The 2836 on the other hand has a small day disc that does not overlap the date disc. The 2834 also comes with a movement ring.

in my opinion, I would source for a 2836-2 movement, since they are plentiful and easier to source than a 2834.
